What beacon light do I need for a truck working on the highway?
A Class 1 beacon. It is the highest intensity SAE class and the one specified for vehicles in live traffic. Amber is the standard warning colour.
Will a magnet mount beacon stay on an aluminum truck?
No. Magnets need steel, and the F-150 from 2015 and the Super Duty from 2017 have aluminum cabs. Use a permanent mount, or bolt a Westcan or Buyers beacon bracket to a steel headache rack.
