Soft roll-up, hard roll-up and hard folding tonneau covers by truck and bed length
A tonneau cover is sold by bed, not by truck alone. The same 2015 to 2026 F-150 comes with a 5.5, 6.5 or 8 foot box, and a 2019 or newer Ram 1500 can have RamBox or the Multi-Function Tailgate, so every cover here names the model years, the bed length and any configuration the maker splits on. TruXedo states bed lengths by measurement (5'7" and 6'7" for the F-150 short and standard boxes), while some other brands use the nominal 5.5 or 6.5 feet; the fitment table on each listing shows which trucks the cover fits.
Three styles cover most trucks. A soft roll-up is vinyl or canvas over an aluminum frame that rolls to the cab. A hard roll-up uses interlocking aluminum slats under the cover and latches closed at the tailgate end. A hard folding cover uses rigid panels that fold toward the cab in sections, so the tailgate end opens without moving the rest.

Soft roll-up tonneau covers
The largest group. TruXedo Lo Pro uses leather-grain vinyl with rails mounted inside the bed, Pro X15 uses 5-layer RTxTechWeave canvas on 15-degree rails, and TruXport uses DualShield vinyl and opens from either side of the tailgate. ACCESS Original, Toolbox Edition and Lite Rider, the Leer roll-up and the Tonno Pro Lo Roll are listed for the 2015 and newer F-150.
Hard roll-up tonneau covers
TruXedo Sentry and Sentry CT put aluminum slats under leather-grain vinyl or matte black canvas, with a level-2 locking system and up to six automatic latches. TruXedo rates both at 400 lb load capacity. Sentry carries a 3-year warranty and Sentry CT a 5-year warranty, and both are assembled in the USA.
Hard folding tonneau covers
Dura-Flip is made in Calgary from reinforced fibreglass panels in a powder-coated aluminum frame, with the Weather-Flex hinge, replaceable seals, magnetic latches and LED strip lighting; it clamps on with no rails to fit. The Leer hard folder, ACCESS Lomax and Lomax Stance, Dee Zee Guardian and Phoenix Blackbird automatic cover are listed for the F-150, and the Extang Endure ALX, an aluminum hard folder rated for 500 lb, fits 2014 to 2019 Silverado and Sierra 6'6" boxes.

Leer's soft folding cover for the 2015 to 2025 F-150 uses the CYNC latch, which opens from either side with two fingers.
Bed seals, trail seals and cargo tools
ACCESS bed seal and trail seal kits close the gaps at the tailgate and bulkhead where dust and snow get past a cover. The ACCESS Ez-Retriever is a 5 foot hook that reaches cargo that has slid to the front of the bed. Choosing the right tonneau cover
Measure the box from the inside of the bulkhead to the inside of the tailgate and match it to the length in the title. Then check the configuration: RamBox or the Multi-Function Tailgate on a Ram, the Deck Rail System on a Tundra or Tacoma, and the MultiPro or Multi-Flex tailgate or CarbonPro bed on a Silverado or Sierra each take a specific part. Check for a spray-in liner, plastic rail caps or a factory bed rail system too, since clamps and rails sit on or inside the bed rail.
